Andy raised his level and took the second set 6:4, while David made lots of unforced errors.

Re: BNP Paribas Masters, Paris, 7-14 November 2010

But I think he did much better than expected, and the result shows that he has to work harder before he could have a chance to beat the top players like Nadal/Federer/Djokovic/Murry/etc. again.

The other problem (which already happened even during his healthy years) is that, when he won the first set, he had to quickly win the second set to clinch the victory. But once he was broken serve and lost the second set, he lost his temper/concenteation, and choked, and lost the match.

One last problem is to improve his fitness in order to play the 5-set GS matches again next year.

Hopefully he would play 1 tournament in early January and win it, so that his ranking would climb up to top 16, to avoid facing the top players in the third round of Australian Open...

... Australian Open...
1.) Thanks a lot dereky for your optimistic review of David's situation
(i was afraid that he will retire this year...)

2.) OK. As we read in his Official site David's pro tennis year 2010 is finished...
It means he will concentrated on January 2011 ...

Let's hope he will win finally his first GS. May be AO 2011
