David Nalbandian in Legg Mason Tennis Classic, USA, July 31 - August 8, 2010

David awarded Wild Card with Verdasco there:

Argentinian David Nalbandian joins strong player field.

July 31 - August 8, 2010
William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park
Benefiting Washington Tennis & Education Foundation

Argentina’s David Nalbandian, a perennial Top 10 player who returns to the ATP World Tour, following right hip surgery. The tournament, an ATP World Tour 500 and Olympus US Open Series event, takes place July 31 through August 8 at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center (16th & Kennedy Streets, NW). It will mark Nalbandian’s first tournament since April. Nalbandian turned pro in 2000, following a stellar junior career that included a US Open title, a Roland Garros runner-up finish and the semifinals in the Wimbledon Boys’ competition. So it was no surprise that he immediately raced up the rankings when he turned pro, winning his first of ten ATP singles titles and cracking the Top 50 in his first full year as a professional. His ten career singles runner-up results include Wimbledon. His career-high ranking was No. 3 in the world, and he finished in the Top 10 for five seasons, before injuries curtailed his play.

He said he didn't have any physical problems during the Davis Cup tie.
Though he wasn't sure whether he could've lasted five sets.
There's of course no guarantee that he'll be injury-free from now on.
But I think it was a good sign.

Hope he gets a few wins here.

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Will be interesting to see his match vs Stan who he used to have difficulty to play against before if he passes the 1st round. Stan hasn't played since Wimbledon early lost and he changed the coach lately. will see the how the match goes.

i will reserve my opinion until he plays his 1st round. He is way too unpredictable. Anyway, from some of his lately words, it seems he is quite comfortable about his status now.
