Re: US Open

Thanks for the info. but I'm afraid I'm not even thinking about this match until he walks out on that court and hits the first ball of the first round. People over on GM are already saying he will withdraw and "mess up" the draw...........and for once I'm not going to disagree with them or argue because I think they may be right David has withdrawn from too many tournaments at the very last minute this year - which is not only frustrating for his fans, but does cause loads of problems for his fellow players as they will have started preparing for one match and one opponent only to suddenly find it all changes again - I can understand why fans of other players are becoming bitter. Sorry to sound negative - but it's just the way I feel. If David walks out on that court to face van Scheppingen next week then no one will be happier than me - but I just have too many doubts.

Re: US Open

I really hope David will play the USO. It has been so long since I've been able to see him play.

If he does, good luck to him!

Re: US Open

Well, to tell you the truth, I've been waiting for this tournament since last year but now I'm not even thinking about it. I even forgot today the draw was out!!!
Let's hope he's recovered and ready to play...

Re: US Open

Good Luck David. Of course like everyone else, until he walks out on court then I am not thinking about it, but his draw is actually not bad. So IF he plays, he could do OK, but I just hope he can play.

Rosie I saw those people in GM talking about David messing up the draw but I just gave out a few bad reps rather than handle it maturely like you

Seriously though, please play here David!

yes I know, its all so uncertain, not even some single news about he is feeling now, guess this means that the "contacts" between him and the press is still not really good, so well guess we just have to wait and see.. with he time difference I do think I hear it the next day if he made it to court and even hitted 1 ball.. But well lets hope he is feeling better and still sees a way to make it.

Handing out a few bad reps can be a good way of relieving stress

According to La Nación, David is fully recovered and will play in New York but we know how this is..maybe he breaks a nail at the last minute and won't show up

ok, this is David's semi, compared with his former evil draw, now this time at least not tough first round again. but he could meet Youzhny again in the second round. well, as everything is uncertain, i'd better do not expect sth.

Besides, insterested to see some other first round: Roger vs Costa, Grandpa Todd vs Santoro, Andreev vs Verdasco, Andre will face American guy Genepri, Ferreira vs Hewitt, also roddick could meet one of Nadal and Blake in the second round. lot of fun.
