Comprehensive beatdown delivered by David. Next....Verdasco or Murray. Most likely Murray.

Talk to the hand because the ears don't hear you.

Re: Paris 2008: The Last Stand

David played some very awesome shots at times, especially that return game at 3-0. His return of serve was excellent all match, and he was really looking to dictate play right from the outset. It was a bit of a poor effort from Del Potro from late in the first set onwards, at first he just looked to not have any belief mentally.

They just showed the champions race on TV and David's only like 5 points off Tsonga on 11th place. Of course it will be difficult to beat Murray though.

Re: Paris 2008: The Last Stand

David did play very well. Some of those shots today really reminded me of last year.
But Delpo basically stopped playing in the second set, not even trying to reach a lot of David's shots, as well as serves. No wonder that the first thing David did after the match was to ask Delpo if he was okay. I think he just looked incredibly tired.

If it ends up being Murray tomorrow, and it probably will, it'll be their first encounter since Wimbledon 2005. And what a battle that match was...

Re: Paris 2008: The Last Stand

Ok guys, I really didn't see this coming, I thought this match is going to be 3 sets and over 2 hours, so the moment the prof. said class dismissed, I ran to my car and drove as fast as I could hoping that at least I'll catch the last set and when I found the match was already over I thought he lost.
I'm sorry David I should have more faith on you

Re: Paris 2008: The Last Stand

I sooooo love his game(when he is on),it's like...playing Chinese chess. There is cadence, there is plan, there is strategy. I just saw Roddick def. Simon. Don't want to offense his fans, but...Roddick's game is awful to watch for me, the backhand slice is...a bit disgusting, he doesn't create, he just cope. I admire his serve, his fight, his power, but all in all it's kind of one dimensional. I can't image ATP top without Nalby. He may struggle, may be a bit lazy sometime, but the possibility of his game always is amazing. You just can expect phenomenal stuff from him.

Next one is Murray, who is also a strategist. Won't go for too much all the time, won't give easy error on a regular basis, will offense big when the time is mature. Plus, a big serve.
Very worrying.

Re: Paris 2008: The Last Stand

*3-3 David had 2 BP, but Murray found his 1st serve and saved them.
