I wouldn't know, but one thing is that they definitely geographically restrict a lot of their tournaments which is annoying.

What is it you don't like about Magical Glass? I don't like it sometimes because it seems to make the video lag a bit which is why I don't really use it for Bet365, etc (although those streams don't work for me anymore) which is big enough if you make the resolution 800x600 temporarily. I think this is something to do with my video card though which is old because it used to be even worse like unwatchable before I updated my drivers. If it's because it looks pixelated, you can select the "Smoothed PS 2.0 algorithm".

Re: Stockholm 2008

Hmm i use bet 365 to watch my vids online... ive tried tvu player as well... what do you guys reckon is the best one t oget though like proper streaming, i watched the tsonga nole final recently on Bet 365 it was sooo damn choppy and laggy and my nets not too slow, i mean id love to watch him play but watching tennis when it lags like f@#$ is irritating, i know his match against JOachim will be dangerous but very very entertaining, if he wins this match it could be like the matc against birdman last year, although in theory nalby is perfectly matched up against Joachim and this surface is where his best memories are from

The version you recommended is slightly better then the Lens software I was using before, but still... It definitely lags the video (even with 800x600), but at least you can see the ball.

Unfortunately there is no ideal live streaming site. I used to love Bet365/William Hill when they had all of the options with WMP or Flash, low qualiity/high quality. I used to comment on how it was like a pay stream for free, then they got rid of it .

This week, the stream for Vienna is one of the best, high quality and no technical problems. I'll be watching a lot of tennis from there for sure if they keep it going.

For me, I see no appeal of a match against Joachim Johansson - he's such a big hitter of the ball that it's pretty much impossible for anyone to dictate play against him.

I use WebTV (on rutelevision.com) which is a pay stream that has a Russian tennis channel, which is very reliable (it almost always works) but expensive and they don't show as much tennis as the Bet365 sites obviously.

Re: Stockholm 2008

Bwin makes Bet365 look like streaming heaven. And Betfair as well. I think it's ridiculous to de facto charge €10 for a stream that doesn't start on time and comes in a 3cm x 5cm window that cannot be maximized. Though it's true, Magical Glass makes it bearable at least.
But it's still unfair. There are great free streams for Vienna and Moscow. Just not for Stockholm.

I'm already looking forward to next week, Madrid and AMS TV. For me, that's as close to a perfect streaming site as it gets. I know others who've had problems with it, but not me. It'll be interesting to see what the new ATP/WTA stream portal next year will be like. And how much they'll charge...

Tomorrow's match won't be easy. Especially, if Johansson serves like he did against Mahut.

Re: Stockholm 2008

So much for that Vienna stream, although probably not that surprising considering it hadn't been up in the last few years.

I just had a look at the Moscow stream. I got put off because I wasn't able to watch it earlier on in the week, got some sort of customised message. It is awesome, best live stream ever (because it has on-demand matches as well). Too bad I don't want to watch anything on it as of right now.

I have previously had problems with AMS.TV before although I can always at least watch it on the lowest bandwidth version. It has been working for me lately though, in medium/high quality. My year's subscription has just run out though and time to pay an extra $90 for the year again.

Re: Stockholm 2008

Now there is a great stream from Stockholm (in case anyone didn't find it in the GM stream thread, look here).
It'll start at 6:30pm CET, just in time for David's match against Johansson.
And I won't be home to watch it...
Well, I hope he gets through to the QFs.

David won 6-3 6-2 and I can't believe that I did not checked the streams thread or here and I watched the match on bwin.

David played very good, he clinched it in 56 min. Although Pim Pim made a lot of errors, it was obvious that Dave's game is ON. He played amazing approach shots and sneaked at net quite a lot. And what was most encouraging for me , he looked like he is enjoying himself (I haven't seen him like that for quite a long time), he was smiling all the time.

I have to tease you a little bit, this link was so clear, it's the best quality stream I've ever seen

I know, I watched Monaco-Soderling after and I deserve much more than just a little teasing.
