U.S. OPEN - time to stop the bleeding?

One week until the start of the last slam of the year. David has 75 point to defend - R32 in 2007 where he lost in a tight 5-setter against Ferrer. Now he will be at least 8 seed and he will avoid better ranked players than until QF. Best of luck to David and hoping for a good run.

It"s usually not the better ranked players that seem to put him out in the early rounds....let's hope he will be mentally and physically 100% for the USO and let the best player win...which should be Nalby. His lack of much match play this past month really concerns me.

David has failed to reach the last 16 in his last 5, and also 7 out of his last 9, slam appearances. He went from consistently reaching grand slam semi-finals and quarter-finals to sucking at the main events.
He has a tough draw but lets see what he can do here. I also support Ferrero so hopefully they'll book their 3rd match of the season against each other in the 2nd round.

Yes, that looks like a difficult draw to me, pretty much from the second round onwards where you usually might expect some easier early round matches in the grand slams.

Not an easy draw at all: Daniel-Ferrero-Monfils or Soderling-Blake-Nadal... But there is always a hope. He used to know how to deliver when it was hardest.

bloody title

I couldn't care less about the draw. My only concern is his fitness. Hope he's well to play and is injury free. If a super Dave turns up, I'd love to see him draw Fed in the 1st rd,Djoko 2nd, Rafa 3rd and God in the final. But WHEN is this gonna happen??

GL Nalby!Vamos!

Good news is that Court 11 is one of the show courts. I hope I can find a stream to watch him. The match should start around 14:30 15:00 at local time.
