I don't think you have been roasted by my dry-desert imagination, have you?

Second round looks good, but 3rd- IMO Mahut or maybe Lopez will be tough. I am not so sure that playing here is a good move (considering his back) but looks like he wants to get a taste of grass before Wimby.

Re: The Artois Championships 2008

I would have made an equally boring title for this thread!

All I will say is that for those people that get coverage for Queen's, can they post match reports in here for people like me that won't be able to watch any of it (until semi-finals)... if it is on a televised court, that is?

totally, me too.

just as of yesterday i told to a client i was 26. then while driving home i finally realized that, umm no, am not 26 anymore. so i would've probably put something like 2007 on the title as well

anyway back on topic.
i'm not expectng anything spectacular here, just some good match practice & for him to start feeling comfortable on the green grass.

Yeah, it's hard to keep track of your age. I always have to calculate it off the top of my head to make sure.

Where's Gooner? I haven't seen him around for a while. Is he attending this event?

Unfortunately I'm working all next week so I probably won't go.
TV coverage of Queen's is very good here so I'm sure I'll see how he's playing.
But I've got a few days off come Wimby time to watch Nalbo and more tennis.

Good to see you on the board again. At least you'll be there at Wimbledon, which if you had to choose between the two events, obviously Wimbledon is much more appealing.

Honestly, I was expecting David to withdraw from this tournament, so it's good news that he's playing. Even if he loses in the first round it's going to be ok. The most important thing is that he gets some match practice on grass before Wimbledon, nothing to lose here.
Best of luck anyway

So, it is going to be Troicki in R2. He can be dangerous, big serve and always plays very well and fight hard against higher ranked players.

hope you will have better luck than me in Mel.....I should have TV coverage for Queen's only after QF, not expect David to stay at that time... Just remember i haven't watched any of his grass matches since he defeated Gasquet in 2005 Wimby, guess?

From those photos taken by the fans, it seems Queen's is a really decent tournament and I love the atmosphere it shows everyone is very relaxed there, just escaping from the torturing clay But yes, agree with krystlel, Wimby is still more attractive.

yes, Troicki will be a tough test for him, he has given quite a lot tough time to some top players this season, like 1st round against Nadal in AO, DC against Davydenko and in Miami against Roddick...
