it seems too much, for GS AO winner got 200...

Read closely as to how the point work:

For the race (which is ATP), David gained 35 points. For the rankings (which is ITF), he earned 175. The winner of AO got 200 race points and 1000 ranking points. In the context of canas's question, we will stick to rankings only.

And here's the difference between the two:

The race points determine his qualification for Shanghai; the ranking points determine entry and seedings at the tour stops. In the rankings, which is the most important, David is #8.

GS winner gets 200 points in the race and 1000 ranking points
same here David gets 175 ranking points and 35 race points

really poor Dave!

look:
during last week he showed unbelievable tennis,
three times "came-back" from almost lost three matches
highest psychological pressure: he played at home,
all Argentina wanted to know who is her best player...
and after all just 35?...

David plays Boris Pashanski in the first round. Most propable opponent in the QFs Potito Starace.
