Latest News

Guys, I was watching Fox Sports and there was Salatino. He just came back from Roland Garros and was with David. He said that it still hurts him and if he goes to Wimbledon he won't be at his best and can't see him getting far there

Re: Latest News

Oh, that's so not good....
I would be happy to see him defend his RO16 points, if he does go...
Wonder what the tests showed. Did they talk about that?

Re: Latest News

No, he didn't talk much about his injury. That's all he said.
The other comments were that he doesn't see Gaudio winning another slam as oppossed to David, Coria and Monaco. He says that grass suits David and can see him winning not just one slam but many.
I have to agree with him.

Re: Latest News

I totally, totally agree. Just need to get these injury issues out of the way....
Seems like every time he goes deep into a grand slam draw, something crazy happens...

Yes it's true. Remember after the USO he said that even if he had beaten Roddick he couldn't have played the final match because of his wrist...Now this...

Re: Latest News

Hey all,
will David try to play the championschallenge, that starts next Wednesday ?
It is an exhebition tourney with the same format as the Kooyong event which he won against Agassi before the AO.
David is still entered, so far only Blake has withdrawn.
Here is the link: http://www.thechampionschallenge.com/flash/index.htm

Marat Safin David Nalbandiàn Roger Federer Juan Carlos Ferrero Rafael Nadal Carlos Moyà

Rainer Schüttler, Tommy Haas, Michail Youzhny, James Blake

Re: Latest News

thanks Aleta, still not sure if he will be there. have a strong feeling he will skip it, and just focus and try to be at Wimbledon, like Jazz said,if he goes to Wimbledon he won't be at his best, so I think that he will try to be there, and just skip all other things, so that he gets enough rest, and minimum all risks..

Actually don't agree on that one Jud - if David has any plans of playing Wimbledon then he must have grass court practice or just not bother going at all. The Champions Challenge is not a serious tournament - just practice really - with some great practice courts and facilities - David went there last year and loved it!!! My own guess is if he has any plans of Wimbledon at all, he will go to the CC first, practice for a few days on grass - and then pull out of Wimby if he feels really bad. Even if he doesn't enter the exhibition I feel that he will practice there because he likes the courts and the set-up. I am certainly hoping so - I love the CC - I can walk there from home

I am new here and I know GWH and like David as well. I hope there are no problems with David, he has had a horrible year injury wise.
