a difficult RG

Nalbandian is a good tennis player but he has a problem any argentine tennis player has, he does not play in clay as good as he does it on fast courts, once i read his dream is to win roland garros, can this be possible???i mean i cant see him further than 4 round.

Re: no chances at RG

I think he is capable of doing so. From the games I have seen him play, he is quite a complete player. He has great ground strokes, move well, the only thing he doesn't do quite as well is his serve. But everything else is fine.

But for some reason he hasn't won a title in such a long time, which I still don't understand why. He has a chance at winning RG though. Maybe no this year, but I think he is one of the contenders.

As you will see - this Forum is for "fans of David" - and as you do not seem to be a fan of his and have only negative views of him - I wonder why you bothered to post here? Please forgive me if I have got the wrong impression, - but seems like you just wish to be controversial - I do not like Coria or Roddick - therefore I tend to avoid their Forums and leave comments to their real fans! Just a thought. Thanks.

Re: no chances at RG

Uh, willie, I think you meant to say that most Argentinians don't play as well on faster courts as they do on clay. Am I correct there? Anyhow, I think David has a legitimate shot at RG. He has no points to defend, unlike "El Mago", who'd better hope that his latest injury problem doesn't interfere with his chances there.

Ditto, Willie, I just wondered why you paid yourself a visit here in the first place. This particular thread title would have been more suited to the GM rather than here.....But, thanks anyway for making everyone's day. Now, go away.....

I'd like to know how he would take it if I go to the Coria thread and start a thread "No Chance at Wimbly"...I think the difference is that David has a chance at the FO...
Anyway, I would never do that because even though I don't like Coria at all, I respect his fans.

Jazz, why don't you do that? It seems that gate-crashers love to start some controversy, so why don't we start some over there?

OK, Willie, this is my third response to you. Why does your tag line say Coria, Roddick, and Federer, and you are posting to a Nalbandian forum? Answer me that....

And why is your first sentence not making sense? I mean, damn, you say that all Argentines are not as good on clay (did you check your grammar before you posted this, by the way?). Coria is a "clay court specialist", for all intents and purposes-at least for this thread anyway. David is an all-surfaces player. The 2002 Wimbledon finals should have told you something.

And lastly, about your prediction. I could see him getting to the fourth round as well-and even further. Just don't worry about that. Just worry about "El Mago" getting there to defend the massive semifinal points that he has amassed (that's about 250 to 300 ranking points). No one here has taken the time to post a "No Chance at Wimby" thread to Coria's forum, but I, being the troll-killing (yes, you're a troll) diva bitch I can be at times, will do that-with no hesitation or regret.

Re: no chances at RG

c´mon everybody hes making what he wants......Bother us......The only thing i can say about this is David has the same chances to win than Coria, Federer or Moyá, he´s a great player and he´s doing better everytime, and if all the argentinian has the problem that you said in clay, why in the last tournaments always was an argentinian player in a final???

Re: no chances at RG

I highly doubt it will be taken in a good way...And it's true, it's good to exchange ideas, but the title "no chances at RG" was just rude, and I don't agree with that at all. I don't know if you remember this but just a couple of weeks ago he reached the Rome TMS final, and he won the Estoril tournament in 2002, where he had to beat Ferrero, so I don't think it was that bad. As I told you before, I think he has enormous chances at Wimbledon or the USO, but it's not true that he won't get far in the FO.

Re: no chances at RG

Ok, willie, changes opinion is fine but in a good way, and i don´t think what you say about the argentinian players, they always get a finals in this last tournaments, so i´m desagree with you...About Nalbandian and his negative aspects, well his serves is very poor but that is really distant of say that he hasn´t chance to win RG, He can do it he´s playing reaaly good in clay, you saw his match aggainst Costa???Was great!!

Kiss
Ceci

PS: and you can say anything you want here, but please be nice we can understand that David is not the number one yet and he has to work really hard but for us is perfect!!! jajajaja
