France has no good choice, really. It would be a nice statement for the FFT to not award a WC at all.
What about that young French player that they gave a wild card to for qualifying at the fench that won his first round and then nearly took a set off somdev? I cant remember his name but if they wanted to go with a youngster they have high hopes for they could go with him

Lucas Pouille was in the MD and won there a round. The guy he is talking about is Quentin Halys. But for him a WC into the MD at a Slam would be too early. He is ranked outside the top 800 and hasn't even played a match on the ATP-circuit. This WC would come too early.

Re: Wild Cards

Hoping TA reward Duckworth's run of good play (and qualifying for two slams) and give the WC to him.

Re: Wild Cards

I honestly don't think any party would benefit from Ebden gaining a wildcard, not even the player himself. It's better for him to try and qualify.

Duckworth, on the other hand, would have chances against a lot of players in the main draw, so he's an obvious choice as far as I'm concerned.

In the past two grand slams, at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, James Duckworth has reached the main draw the hard way: via qualifying. In the next, the US Open, the improving Sydneysider is expected to receive Tennis Australia's reciprocal wildcard

Re: Wild Cards

MDD WC for Oosterbaan/Schneider after winning Kalamazoo U18 doubles tournament!

Oosterbaan 17yo, made his debut at the Pro Circuit this year in OKC losing 26 06 to David Rice.
Schneider one year older, much more experienced, a lot of decent results on the Pro Circuit so far lik defeating Mico Santiago, Artem Sitak or Benjamin Mitchell.
Schneider definitely much more talented and the better player but maybe they can show up a great perfomance at Flushing Meadows.

Re: Wild Cards

Anybody know why Kuznetsov didnt enter any more of the summer Challengers?? He basically gave the WC to Klahn, I think, by not playing the last two weeks of the circuit.
