Re: ~The "Surfing on the success wave" Sydney Cheering Thread

Tommy's got a very very nice draw. He can do really really well here, and I'll support him until the 4th round if I can. At least I can celebrate Tommy's luck, I'm just devastated about Ferrero's draw.

Don't stress over Juanqui's draw, it's really not that bad. He has match practice and confidence, and you can't buy those. Kiefer has not played yet this season and will most likely be rusty. If you can look past the first round, other players have worse draws.

Tommy has it easy this year and can reach the quarters again

Kiefer played at Kooyong, and he played very very well, not rusty at all. Thats why I'm worried.

But back to Tommy. He's up first on Monday on Show Court 2. I'll be there for sure (I also get my university offer that night, but I don't care about that.) Should be a fun match.

I can't believe I didn't notice Kiefer was at Kooyong. I guess its because I don't really follow exhibitions, but now I can understand why you're a bit worried. At least Juanqui is coming off the Auckland final- that has to give him a confidence boost.

Looks like you have your priorities sorted, Tommy first, then university

Congrats on the Uni offer What will you be studying?

Re: ~The "Vamos Tommy in Melbourne" Cheering Thread

Yes Volandrifan, Tommy is more important than uni. Uni can wait, Tommy can't. And Kiefer played an additional match against Blake. He wasn't one of the original 8 players.

And don't worry, I'll take plenty of photos and write reports for you all. I'm getting so excited just writing about tomorrow!!!

Thanks Cat Lady. I'll be studying History/Politics and Mathematics provided I get in that is. It's a bit late not to get stressed out by the draw, but I will have fun, trust me!
