Becker tomorrow will play final in Nottingham. I think he will be tired.

Re: Grass season 2013

If Ebden can beat Becker, then Tomic should cane a tired Becker.

Looks like his dad will be back for real this time:

So much for the ATP ban on John Tomic. He is here courtside to watch Bernard Tomic at Queens.

And while he also revealed a new management structure including a new coach, it was unlikely that the powerful paternal Tomic influence had abated in any way.

Bernard Tomic said his best friend from his hometown in Monaco was working with him now and listed Eugenio Forchione as his coach, Ivan Dimitrijevic as his fitness trainer and former British tennis player Harry Skinner as his hitting partner.

Said Bernard Tomic of the new arrangement: "It's gone good. We will try and see how it goes.

Re: Grass season 2013

Disappointing loss but Becker is a good grasscourt player and the scoreline suggests he put up a fight. Having his dad in the stands can only be a bad thing. The one good thing that might come out of these losses is he will finally realise that.

Re: Grass season 2013

"Oh dear"
on the loss;
"Oh dear"
on the fact that John was allowed into Queens and sat in the player box
The tennis officials will never learn...

"I didn't see him, to be honest," Bernard said after losing 6-4 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-4) to German Benjamin Becker in front of his father and coach.

"I didn't look at anything. I wasn't looking anywhere.

"Funny you spotted him and I didn't. Well, that's interesting."

Tomic Sr sat in the second row during the match after being allowed by officials to attend as a spectator, despite the suspension of his ATP tour credentials following an assault charge.

A clearly-flustered Tomic Jr attempted post-match to play down the impact of having his dad and coach court-side again, after he was barred from attending the French Open in any capacity.

"I wasn't really looking. Wasn't really something I was focusing on," the world No.63 said.

The 20-year-old also revealed several changes to his coaching and support staff, saying he'd brought in Eugenio Forchione, Ivan Dimitrijevic and Harry Skinner, but his father clearly remains in charge.
At least nominally there is a new coach. It seems there is some message in Tomic saying he did not notice his dad, despite that being almost impossible. Maybe just to stop people bugging him with the question. Has any heard of Eugenio Forchione who is put forward as a coach now?
