Re: Tomic on hardcourt 2013

Expected better from Bernie in Stockholm. Bernie had better serve stats than Sock but got broken 5 times.
Why is Bernie now entered to play in a Challenger?
If he loses there, his confidence will get no better.

Re: Tomic on hardcourt 2013

Stupid.... I mean if he really wants to improve, just take it more seriously and train harder... he can already win matches at tour level, playing a challenger makes no sense.

Re: Tomic on hardcourt 2013

Unless he's desperate for ranking points, but I don't see him winning any matches if he continues to play with the effort level as in yesterday's match. If he's not going to play with a purpose then I'd rather him just end the season already instead of racking up another embarrassing loss.

Re: Tomic on hardcourt 2013

I really hope he can turn around next year with his supposed new Coach and change. I think we are all a bit tired of seeing him waste his talent so far in his career :/

Re: Tomic on hardcourt 2013

John fostered his tennis career, now can be blamed for stalling it...

Re: Tomic on hardcourt 2013

The last couple of seasons have played out so similarly in a number of ways.

This time last year there were the same discussions about his poor play, needing a coach, etc... and here we are again.

And with no points left to play, Marinko out with an injured shoulder and a few points left to defend and Lleyton looking like he won't play ATP again this season, Tomic should remain Aussie No.1 until year end.

Plays second on Court 1 tomorrow.

Last year at Basel he lost 0 & 2 to Youzhny.
