Hope he can win at least one round in the main draw - if he takes out Bautista-Agut he faces John Isner - no easy task.

Re: 2013 Cheering Thread

21 Ret'd over Bautista-Agut. A little luck doesn't hurt, next up will be Isner who is not at 100% (knee).

Re: 2013 Cheering Thread

Sorry I'm too late, there were a few on streamhunter.eu/tennis-live-streaming-video.html

He played well, nothing too exceptional, John was off.

I like that he is at least trying to be more aggressive, very consistent serving, also returned well for whatever he was able to get his hands on. I don't see major improvements from the off-season in his game like Dimitrov's, but he is playing better than last week, that's something.

I checked streamhunter, but for some reason I couldn't get any to work. Thanks though.

Re: 2013 Cheering Thread

Quote:
Last year’s title match featured Jarkko Nieminen and Julien Benneteau–both unseeded–and an exodus of seeds is taking place during the 2013 installment. It gained steam on Wednesday afternoon when John Isner fell to Ryan Harrison 6-4, 6-4.

Harrison took control of this all-American battle late in the first set, but not before he fought off break points in two consecutive service games. The 20-year-old seized a crucial break at 4-4 and promptly served out the proceedings in lightning-quick fashion.

Isner, who was hampered by a knee issue at last week’s Hopman Cup, became increasingly disgruntled with the new time rule in addition to his own game and he never came close to getting back on track in set two. The No. 1 seed dropped serve right away via a wild forehand and from there it was all but over. Harrison, who dropped only three points in the second set, held the rest of the way and finished off his countryman in one hour and 14 minutes.

The world No. 68 withstood 10 Isner aces and finished with three of his own, the last of which came on his second match point.

Next up for the world No. 68 is a quarterfinal clash against Julien Benneteau, who finished runner-up last year to Jarkko Nieminen.

Re: 2013 Cheering Thread

Ryan played much better than last week, quite aggressive and stayed cool. I still remember last year in Newport Ryan could barely return John's serve!
Not a breakthrough but a solid win.

Re: 2013 Cheering Thread

4-6 2-6. Horrendous play from Ryan. Forehand was horrible so many pathetic errors, backhand was pretty bad too, serve was okay but nothing special and his attitude wasn't great either. Horrible match overall, I don't know about this season.
