For some reason it said before that Ehrat got the 3rd WC, but he's playing qualys instead, now it says that Laaksonen has the 3rd WC.

yes it's strange : he hadn't entered on time for the main draw here but entered the qualies entry-list later, maybe because he learnt that he would get a zeropointer if he didn't play Basel,.

At this time, it was sensible as the wild-card for commitment players could have been taken by Djokovic, but why didn't he take benefit of that wild-card possibility when it was known that Djokovic didn't ask for it ?

that's what the last wild card is for, for top 30 commitments. I think he intentionally entered the qualies.
