Re: ~Carlos *News*&*Articles* Thread~

So does this mean Alberto Tous is his trainer and Luis Lobo his coach or is Tous out?
Trainer and Coach are different people with different responsibilities aren't they?

It has been a busy time in the sport’s transfer market, with Tommy Robredo, Andy Roddick, Andy Murray and Carlos Moya appointing new coaches recently.

On July 20, Robredo started working with Jordi Vilaro – who was part of the coaching team that worked with Spanish team when they won the Davis Cup in 2000.

The partnership did not get off to the best of starts this week with ATP Masters Series Hamburg champion Robredo losing his Kitzbuehel Open first round match to Jurgen Melzer (report).

Last week’s Indianapolis finalist, Roddick, announced in Los Angeles Monday that Jimmy Connors will act as a consultant until at least the end of the season (report).

Another player that has ranked No. 1 in the INDESIT ATP Rankings, Carlos Moya, split with his coach of four years Joan Bosch. Moya is expected to start work with Luis Lobo shortly before the US Open.

Meanwhile, the Lawn Tennis Association has agreed a deal with Brad Gilbert to act as coach to Murray and develop young talent within the British game.

The former coach of Andre Agassi and Roddick will start work with the 19-year-old Scot at the Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington next week.

Re: ~Carlos *News*&*Articles* Thread~

From the Chilean website, la Tercera

Here's the translation

Carlos Moya contacted the ex- technician of Marcelo Rios

The spaniard announced that he has decided to work with the Argentine coach Luis Lobo, the man who, in 2000, coached Marcelo Rios. Lobo has also worked with Juan Monaco, Mariano Zabaleta and Augustin Calleri.

Today, the Spanish tennis player Carlos Moya (48º) announced that he'll work with the Argentine technician Luis Lobo, the man who coached Marcelo Rios at the end of his carreer.

Moya recently, broke with his coach, Joan Bosch, with whom he didn't win many great tournaments. He's waiting for a new era (or a boost) in his carreer.

The Majorcan, ex- number one in the world in 1999, needed someone to motivate him and that's why he looked for Lobo who coached his compatriots, Juan Monaco, Mariano Zabaleta, and Augustin Calleri.

Moya started the season 2006 at the number 31 in the ATP rankings, and at the end of july, he fell at the number 48, despite of winning, last february, the tournament of Buenos Aires.

Now, the 7th Spanish player travelled to Toronto (Canada) to start the northern american tour on hard courts, it will end with the US OPEN at the end of the month, the last grand slam of the year.
