Re: ~Carlos *News*&*Articles* Thread~

ohoh... looks like both Rafa and Carlos are out

Out from the Valladolid exhibition.

Good translator if you want to have all the details : http://www.altavista.com

But I sum up the article without a translator, my spanish is getting better and better

They are out. Nadal went to to Barcelona to see the doctor of the spanish federation, to see the evolution of his injured right feet.

Regarding Carlos, he has a tendinis at his right shoulder and has to relax a few days. He got a pain last week-end during the exhibition of Pamplonna when he faced Lopez.

Costa and Montañes will replace them.

So Rafael can't play and Carlos will replace him! Good sign....hope his shoulder is better now go and kick Tommy-Toy's ass

Nadal also unable to appear in Girona

Moyà will substitute in the Trophy contest for Rafa, who says "the prudent thing is not to force it"

21/12/05 03:00 h.GIRONA - Rafa Nadal will not be able to play in the City of Girona Trophy tennis tournament, after his medical exam yesterday when it was recommended that he take several more days for recuperation before returning to normal activity. His place will be taken by the Mallorcan Carlos Moyà, who will oppose Tommy Robredo in the match which will be played tomorrow in the Fantajau pavillion. Nadal declared that "it hurts me not to be able to be in Girona; I have a lot of friends there and I was excited to play against Robredo, which I don't discount doing in a future edition of the Trophy." He especially emphasized his disappointment at "not being able to be there for the morning before the match with the thousand kids who participate in the mini-tennis event. I think that the organization has take a great initiative with this act of promoting the kids and I would really have liked to be with them, since when I was a little boy myself I also liked to see my idols."

Nadal also explained that "I have to listen to my doctor. It's true, the injury is not really serious, but the most prudent thing is not to force it now since I am in the final part of my recuperation."

Djokovic after his Madrid 2009 Semi with Rafa: “Next time I’ll probably take two rackets on the match point and try to hit with both of them. It’s frustrating that when you play so well you can’t win.”

Re: ~Carlos *News*&*Articles* Thread~

Carlos just wants a little luck w the injuries in 2006 -- he is training hard and is v motivated for next year. He also mentioned that he is in favour of "clean" tennis.

Tommy also said the same re: Puerta. Neither of them is that familiar w the case so they don't want to comment much. Tommy's goal: to make Top 10 and stay there in 2006.

I don't blame them for not wanting to comment much. They have to worry about backlash, etc. I'm sure though that the players will be talking about it between themselves come the tournaments in January. They all have to be a little worried. I know most of them already are. Afraid to drink anything, afraid to take supplements. Which is a shame because with the long schedule, they need to take supplements and things like that. Anyway in public, its better when someone like Uncle Toni gives support.
