Puerta beats Carlos again 4-6 6-3 6-4

what really upsets me is that Carlos had several chances to break Mariano serve early in the 2nd set and the 3rd set and he couldn't do it. While Mariano was 100% effective in that department.

what happens to Carlos? why he can't take advantage of his opportunities?? as I said above he could have won it but Puerta played better the key points, apparently he was more focused than Carlos.

of Course Mariano played well, but Carlos was so close, so close but he finnally fell short.

Can I say I'm getting worried now??? What's Charly's problem?! If he can't beat the likes of Puerta....what if he runs into a Top Ten player?!

Carlos, hope you find your game again.... SOON!

I think Mariano Puerta should jump off a cliff.

If he keeps playing like this, his chances of even running into a top player are slim.

a for everyone

Carlos what's happened to him at the moment?

I'm getting a little worried too, but hopefully this will be a kick up the ass for him and he'll be back to his normal self

Rafa Nadal Juanqui Ferrero

Marat Safin Carlos Moya Feli Lopez Nando Verdasco Richie Gasquet

Robredo Guga Garcia-Lopez Ferrer Tomeu

Interviewer: It surprises people how well you get on with Nadal
Carlos Moya: I can't conceal that. I love him very much and I knew that one day he would be better than me. He's on another level.

Re: ~~~Carlos Cheering Thread~~~

Yeah, it's sad that he lost quite early again... again to Puerta....

But I think Puerta wasn't bad recently, from what Jorge said Carlos had lots of possibilities... I only hope that these losses don't mean Carlos' career is going downwards somehow

I'm trying to stay confident for future that he can show us something good soon!

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: ~~~Carlos Cheering Thread~~~

Some good news that I just found out: Carlos is one of the nominees for the ATP Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for 2004, along with Federer, Srichaphan and Sargsian. The winner will be announced at the joint ATP and WTA awards ceremony in Miami on March 22. Whether or not he wins the award itself, it's still nice to see him get recognised with a nomination - his great sense of sportsmanship is one of the things I really love about Carlos.

Re: ~~~Carlos Cheering Thread~~~

Awesome!! Very tough competition though. Hasn't Srichaphan won this award before??
