Who's Going?

So I guess I should know this from other years....but I don't.
Will all the olympic players stay for the whole 2 weeks to participate in closing ceremonies, which would essentially mean none of the top 64 will be in Canada or Cincinnati? Or do players generally leave after they are eliminated?
Cincy is the 1 event I usually try to get to but it won't be worth it if everyone is still in London.

First, the tennis event is finished on the middle Sunday of the games...giving those who reach final matches a week in between that and Toronto. All the top players will be at both 1000 events.

I know that the tennis is finished early but I have seen many athletes at the closing ceremonies that had finished much earlier. So I didn't know whether the athletes themselves just decide whether they want to hang around and spectate after they are finished. If you are saying that tennis requires the players to be at the 1000 events, that answers my question. Thanks!

I'll be hanging out with these two.

Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far you can go.

Re: Who's Going?

I was planning on it earlier this year, but unfortunately my travel companion had a conflict. Maybe next year.

"A tacit rhetorical assumption here is that you have very probably never heard of Michael Joyce of Brentwood, L.A... Nor of Vince Spadea nor Jonathan Stark...--all ranked in the world’s top one hundred at one point in 1995. Nor of Jeff Tarango, sixty-eight in the world, unless you remember his unfortunate psychotic breakdown in full public view during last year’s Wimbledon.

You are invited to try to imagine what it would be like to be among the hundred best in the world at something. At anything. I have tried to imagine; it’s hard."
