Sorry for commenting late. As I write this the match has already begun and it is 4-3 in the first set. I hope your thoughts are right. DY has a better chance today than he did against Seppi last week. He almost has a fair chance of winning, but I still have to pick Chardy.
DY did win the first set 6-3, raising hopes of an end to his epic losing streak. Once he lost the second set 7-6, I figured he would fold as usual when the going gets tough. Bingo. Bagel.
Streak is now 16. Next week, I don't know if he'll plays qualies. If so, he won't qualify. Then Winston-Salem. Then US Open. By then the streak will be 18 or 19. Then back to Challengers. By year end, he'll be ranked 200, more or less. I don't know when (or if) he'll play another ATP match to continue the quest to break Spadea's record. If he languishes in Challengers, I won't be surprised if he retires by the end of 2013.
