Gosh the schedule is hectic. Rafa is going to take two days off and then go back to training.

Hopefully he'll be in great form and defend his title!

Here's the official site link: http://www.internazionaliditalia.it/default.asp

The list of players: http://www.internazionaliditalia.it/players.asp

And Rafa's picture with the trophy from last year.

The channel that broadcasts the tournament is back for me.

Re: ~*~ Vamos Rafa in Rome ~*~

Thanks to one and only nou.amic of vr.com we've got some Rome-related news:

Rest, work and other engagements

RAFAEL NADAL WILL ALTERNATE TRAINING SESSIONS WITH PROMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL ENGAGEMENTS DURING HIS STAY IN MALLORCA - HE LEAVES FOR ROME ON SATURDAY TO TAKE PART IN THE MASTERS

There is no rest for a superstar. Or rather, there is, slotted between practice sessions, publicity engagements and numerous other scheduled events. Rafael Nadal is in Mallorca this week before facing the challenge of retaining his title in the Masters Series Roma. On returning from Barcelona, where he won the Trofeo Conde de Godˇ for the second year running, he took a brief rest before getting back to training.

After two weeks away, involved in the maelstorm of top competition in Monaco and Barcelona, Rafael Nadal will this week be alternating practice sessions with several engagements of a different kind until next Saturday. Tomorrow, Thursday 4th May, he will be in Llucmajor to take part in a sports workshop, with play and recreational activities designed to promote integration, under the programme 'Aprenem Junts' ('Let's Learn Together'). The Manacor player is one of the patrons of this project organised by the Iberostar Foundation.

After spending the morning in Llucmajor, the world N║2 has a promotional engagement in Palma, in the Paseo del Borne de Ciutat, where a new Hugo Boss shop is being opened. The Mallorcan player will be only one of the famous faces at the inauguration of the shop as some Real Mallorca football players and the golfer Severiano Ballesteros will be there. Nadal will also be able to have a chat with the Spanish Davis Cup captain Emilio Sanchez Vicario, who is counting on Rafael to help Spain retain their place in the world group when they play Italy, 22nd-24th September, and thus be able to fight next season to win the Salad Bowl once again. Last year they had the same opponents but the tie was played in Italy and Nadal made a superhuman effort to help the national team maintain their place in the world group.

That effort aggravated the Mallorcan's physical problems. Luckily, Nadal has now fully recovered. In fact, the training planned for this week has not programmed anything special for his foot or knees, because he returned from Barcelona without any serious discomfort. Nadal leaves for Rome next Saturday and next week he will try to defend his title there and in doing so equal Vilas' clay court record.

So it looks like Rafa's in good form and ready for Rome.
