Re: Nadal's watch

His $525,000 Richard Mille watch was stolen from the locker room in Toronto. I'd heard that they gave him an identical replacement but maybe he's not wearing it all the time (as the last one got stolen and it's so insanely expensive) so wears his old one sometimes...?

Will Federer regain the #1 spot and break Sampras's record for most weeks at the top?

Roger // Rafa // Raonic // Söderling // Goffin // Ivo // Wawrinka // Baker // Delpo

This just seems so obscene to me.

Yes, last night during that interview with Gimelstob and Robinson is the 1st time I learned about it as well. I'm pretty sure it was insured though. Still makes you wonder who'd do such thing in the locker room.

If I remember correctly was there not a rash of robberies a couple of years back in the locker rooms? And it turned out to be another player ??

Re: Nadal's watch

Thanks everyone for the info. Hope they catch the culprit. Can't imagine a situation where Nadal would leave that watch unsecured.

Article - Rafael Nadal: Champion's Transformation on U.S. Open Hard Courts

Article I've written on Bleacher Report. Hope you like it, read on....

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/4...en-hard-courts

This has been an incredible US Open, not least because it finished on the 3rd Monday for the 3rd year in a row (roof anyone?) But the real revelation in US Open 2010 has been Rafael Nadal. ....

Good article. With this US Open win, the gauntlet has been thrown down for all the other players. Nadal is the best player in the world by far right now and a threat on all surfaces. Let's see if guys like Djoker, Murray, Del Potro, Berdych, Soderling and even Federer can make the next year exciting.

Yeah the Roland Garros and Wimbledon Finals were very one-sided. Although obviously it was probably the most enjoyable 3 set win a Rafa fan can see when Soderling is being beat. But the US Open Final was definitely the most entertaining match of the year, extremely competitive and for the 1st 2 and a half sets the outcome was highly uncertain. It was a superb quality of tennis from both players, and as Rafa said it is his first great match at the US Open. I think a Murray-Rafa GS Final (on hardcourt) will be a classic, and it should happen soon.
