Something weird is going on. When I just look at the thread, the last post I see is from JM (post #4439 - "From Geneva it would be kind of cheaper to fly to Marrakech than take the train to Zurich")

When I hit the reply button and after scroll down, I suddenly see more posts.
Two by Andreea and another one by JM.

Strange.

By the way, why is the video only posted for Metis?

Is that woman for real, a man in drag or a comedy act?

Hilde, such weird things happened to me too like last week. Smth in the site's software Evita reckoned.

It's an Argie woman with too many cosmetic ops I think. Has Rafa cut his hair after WTF? He needed that. David needs to cut his hair too.
Sadly Metis has left us so no Nadal drooling here any more.

Many places in Canada don't get Remembrance Day off any more. Ceremonies are mandatory at schools and even businesses may have a moment of silence at 11am but it's not a holiday. Some people want it to be (it used to be). But others say that it's important for children to be in school so they get the seriousness of it all instead of it just being a day to have fun. I'm okay with that.

Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: Another great year for our great champion! :D

Christmas is approaching and as usual, my family is starting to go bonkers again. I'm the youngest at home and since my family is full of very dominant people who view me as being at the bottom of the hierarchy due to being the youngest of the bunch, I sometimes have to do some serious damage before they realise that they can't boss me around.

There's much to say about not giving a toss about celebrating Christmas with your family at all and just view it as any other day. If you're religious, just concentrate on that but skip the family festivities.

Ah, just when I am writing it, I notice that the damage has done its work. My brother apologises.
Jeez....crazy times. More and more, I'm dreading this time of the year.

A friend of mine just takes her husband and children to Disney Paris to avoid having to celebrate Christmas with her bigger family. She's on to something.

No? a pity.

As you can imagine, it's a big day over here. This was the war, after all, where the very first chemical attack took place (around Ieper) and considering the impact of both world wars, the first one is still viewed as the big one. Next year, we'll be remembering the 100th anniversary of the start of WWI. It's going to be more than huge here.

Talking about chemical weapons...
The international community asked Albania to destroy the chemical weapons of Syria. However, after much protest from the Albanians, their government said no.
The international community then asked Belgium to destroy the chemical weapons since our country, due to having experienced such an attack, is a country with a lot of know-how on the matter, there's very specific training on chemical weapons in our army + we have the best facility for destroying such weapons in Europe and it's even one of the best in the world.
However, our government decided to say no because the weapons have to be transported over land through several countries to reach Belgium. That trip is too risky, they reckon. They did suggest to destroy it in Jordan and Belgium will offer their know-how to come and help them over there.

Yeah, all we ever had as close to a commemoration is a "nationwide" 1 minute of silence at 11 AM
