Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: Always by Rafa's side on the way to clay & hard court dominan

I know this is WTA, but Queen Petra is going to YEC again! I hope she spanks Azarenka's ass again! I really hope she finds her true form in 2014 and win another slam! I still hate Petra choking on Doha when she clearly was spanking Serena's arse, and leading 4-0 to serve out for the match She is the true rival and the true heir to the William's legacy, not like that fake grinder who vultured 2 slams, SMH. Petra needs to get that fitness back in shape!

Belated to Metis for Nalbandian's retirement and Hilde for Malisse's retirement.
Pretty sure it's knowledge that I was not an X fan but that doesn't mean I'm not sad for people that are.

I still miss Andrei Pavel's presence on tour a lot, the one player that made me shed tears.

Also congrats to all the Rafa fans for yesterday's result

That's just fluffy nonsense, that.

Lots of people end up in a bad, bad situation totally out of their control, though. They pretty much have no voice in the matter either.
Sure, animals matter a lot for this planet but so many people are suffering due to circumstances beyond their control and them being able to talk does not change a thing.

Re: Rafachat - Vol. 80: Always by Rafa's side on the way to clay & hard court dominan

Have you read this, Rogelio about Rafa:
Quote:
I think [it's] an unbelievable comeback, no doubt about it," said the Swiss right-hander. "One year ago people were saying he might never play tennis again. One year later he's world No. 1. That's how quick things can go in tennis, which is great. On the other hand, you've got the other extreme sometimes, you write off a player a little bit too fast."

Federer said he was pleased for the left-handed Mallorcan. "I'm really happy that Rafa's proven himself, for himself personally clearly, but also to the rest of the world that you never write off someone like him... The US Open was an unbelievable victory."

Hilde speaks German. At least I presume so with her German relatives.

Anticarica and GoldenEra spamming in GM again with the ATP articles I posted here a few hours ago. I mean is this really necessary.

I agree. Enough with the Nadal-related spamming on GM. It's annoying a lot of people (but that goes in two directions: the pro-Nadal spamming and the anti-Nadal spamming such as Slade, Johnbert (he's getting there as well) + some others).

Anyway, JM if you're reading. Do you know Stromae? A lot of people are reminded of Jacques Brel when they hear him.
Formidable de Stromae, une leçon à la Brel

---
A couple of nights ago, I was dreaming about Djokovic who had just released an autobiography (written by a ghostwriter). I decided to buy the book because one of the reviewers had written that Nadal fans will also like the book. So, I started reading it and found myself really liking Djokovic by the time I'd finished it.
I fear that my subconscious is trying to tell me something. How does one shut up one's subconsciousness?

Hilde!
Where there's action there's also counter-action, meaning the pro- and anti-spamming. But it's really tiring. Am I old or didn't it used to be as bad earlier? Of course I've had my trolling moments too, my first & proudest after the 2006 Rome final - . I admit after that I've been quite lame for what I apologize.

Seen any firefighters protesting in Brullsels, Hilde? Guess they're not on your route, they were on my TV news though.

I don't remember it as being this bad before either, Maria.

Too many of the trolls are repetitive parrots with zero creativity: probably just bored people, frustrated with life and trying to look for a power rush online because they feel powerless in real life: annoy people just because they can.
/armchair psychology

Firefighters.
I haven't seen them here with my own eyes. I work in the European section of the city so I get to see the international protests whereas those firefighters are dealing with a national issue so they'll be mostly protesting in other parts of the city. However, it was in the news of course: those firefighters demand an extra 70 million euros to their budget or they'll threaten to not just block the city roads but also the rail and subway stations, the airports,...

its worst than before because the trolls before were really funny (even some in an unintentional way coughSDGcough )and smart. Think at Linda, Adam, Gu, Genci & Co and compare them with the present crop...

I thought that Gu was a repetitive troll with not a lot of imagination in GM. He showed another side of himself outside of GM but he was a boring troll inside GM.
