Ranking points: where did they go?

Week starting 2 May Nadal has 11,915 points (http://www.atpworldtour.com/Tennis/P...adal.aspx?t=rb)
Week starting 24 April he had 12,870 points (http://www.atpworldtour.com/Rankings...4.2011&c=&r=1#)

where did the points disappear within a week and without any activity? The breakdown looks exactly the same for the two weeks and yet around a thousand points are missing. Confused... Anyone can clarify please?

Thanks

I have the same problem with that.

I am trying to find out the problem but I can't.

This ranking is very strange for the last weeks. Djokovic didn't go to Monte Carlo two weeks ago after semifinlas in 2010 and he lost only 60 points that week and not the 360 points he got from 2010.

Possibly because the dates of the tournaments are different this year. So the 'drop date' has moved. Having said that, Monte Carlo is not listed at all under Djokovic's points breakdown. The ATP never explains things properly...

I just realize that Roma was earlier last year, Nadal lost those points this week.
Nothing is wrong, he will get those points back in two weeks if he wins again.

About Djokovic, I know they don't have to go to Monte Carlo that is why he didn't get a penalty. I understand that but, that means if Nadal doesn't go to Monte Carlo next year he will keep 1000 points and he will never lose them?
I am really confused about this.

Don't worry, he defends those points in this week.
