Okay, these are definitely not in the same league as Veyonce's.
But bear in mind, guys....this is from high up in Ashe with my zoom on the highest setting. I was pretty rapted just to get seeing Rafa play live at all, I'm happy I have these treasured memories.
And here's a little 'feel good' story if yous are interested.
My pics of the night match against Tipsaravic are especially treasured, since I didn't have a ticket for Ashe! It was my last day and night at the Open before going home and I was going to content myself with watching on the big screen out on the Plaza. I got talking to a woman (everyone was so friendly) and bemoaned the fact I couldn't get to see my Rafa play just one more time and the greatest miracle of all happened!
She said, she and her husband had a SPARE TICKET (their daughter hadn't been able to come) and would I like to go in with them. I couldn't believe it....and I don't think they've ever seen anyone so grateful and babbling thanks all night long.
So, Mary and Chuck, if you're out there and reading this.....Thank you, thank you, you wonderful, generous people.
What a way for my USO experience to end.
