Semifinal. Vamos, Rafa.

"I don't feel like I have to defend anything and I start this year from zero again. I'm 22 years old and have won five grand slams, 12 Master Series titles, an Olympic gold medal and I'm world number one -- that keeps me calm." — Rafael Nadal

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

MIT: Round 1.

No way he can get past Rochus

Disclaimer: my pick may be changed.

Re: Throwing our support solely behind Rafito in his quest for Aussie glory! Play MIT

Fair draw for Rafa until the semis. He has some pretty tricky opponents like Monfils or Simon, Hewitt or Gasquet but if he is in a top form we shouldn't worry. I do think Rafa's loss to Monfils in Doha was a fluke. So I am going to make my prediction for MIT. It is not easy since Murray is in his half as almost always in GS. A little offtopic now:

Murray's allocation at GS draws since 2007:
AO 2007 - Rafa's 1/8
FO 2007 - Do not play
WB 2007 - Do not play
US 2007 - Fed's 1/2

AO 2008 - Rafa's 1/2
FO 2008 - Rafa's 1/4
WB 2008 - Rafa's 1/4
US 2008 - Rafa's 1/2

AO 2009 - Rafa's 1/2

So my MIT prediction is going to be either Finalist or Winner. And I will choose Finalist. The Semi will take too much out of him. He always struggles after beating Murray the next match.

01.02.09 - Resurrection Confirmed!
06.06.10 - Phoenix Rises From The Ashes!
04.07.10 - Rafa's Express Faster Than The Rest!
13.09.10 - Who is the GOAT now?!
05.06.11 - Where is clayGoat Djokovic?
11.06.12 - NoleSlam denied! 7th Heaven it is!
09.06.13 - Hi8tory!
09.09.13 - #Lucky13

SF for me please

I refuse to reasonably aknowledge that it would be possible for him to lose to a French player again ( Of course I asume that the new ScottishGOAT will take out the JWT in the QF )

This one's really hard to call. But I say Final.

Vamos!

Life is boring without (Rafa's) fist-pumping.

I don't remember if I've picked yet.. I think I was waiting for the draw...

MIT: semifinal

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Can't see him going further than semis. That would even be a succes, but it wouldn't make me happy at all. Semifinal for me

Murray scares me, so I say:

SEMIS

RAFAEL NADAL

Fernando Gonzalez, Tommy Haas, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Gilles Simon, Nicolas Kiefer, Novak Djokovic

Polish armada:
Przysiezny, Kubot, Janowicz, Fyrstenberg & Matkowski
