How much time do we have to get our MIT picks in? When does Rafa play?

Beijing Olympics: Rafael Nadal is star attraction in the Olympic village
If Rafael Nadal had ever wondered what it might be like as the world No 1, he found out in Beijing.

Here's video of Rafa being mobbed upon his arrival. He looks very tired.

Rafa practicing, and talking about not wearing any pj's to bed because it's too hot.

NYCTennisfan actually stickied a thread in the Fed forum asking people to please stop talking so positively about "other players" (i.e., Rafa). I couldn't believe what I was reading. So people aren't allowed to talk about other players in the Fed forum, especially if it's positive? That just floors me.

That's so normal it's not even worth mentioning. I can't even sleep in PJ's during the winter--not that we have the harshest winters over here.

Re: Keep the winning spirit alive- Rafael Nadal at the Beijing Olympics

Tangy, I just went and saw the stickied note. It's really hilarious. I never understand this need for a safe zone. I mean are you so insecure that you cannot take attacks about your favorite poster. If you don't want to defend, you can ignore them. And in the Federer forum, I really havent seen anybody praise Nadal that much. It's really stupid that so many posters actually ask for it

Saw the sticky and it is both funny and prophetic. Like it or not Roger and his fans are starting the long journey into fading memories of glories past. Not mentioning other players sure ain't going to make them go away. Even if he can hitch up his knickers and make one more run for number one, regarless what happens, the "fat lady has sung."

Ugh, put me down for QF. Good thing I don't give a frack about the Olympics or I might care about this draw. Here's hoping Rafa will have all the bad draws out of the way come US Open time...

just read this too, how narrow minded they are, not allowed to praise another player? that means no fedal is allowed to post there, how old is he/she? just 10?

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

NYC have been doing great analysis always but other than that he is just a fanboy. Don't pay him too much attention. Obviously he is desperate.

Poor Karin

At least she can talk about Roger here, or else she'd die or something

Karin doesn't like the Rafa forum much. She prefers the Fed forum.
