Re: Result! Into AO R3 - who'd have thought it?! Vamos Rafa!

Next round against Simon should be more difficult ,the French plays quite well from the baseline and hits a lot of winners,he has a great FH and will fight to the end!!!If Rafa is fit then i guess it should be a one way match but with a French you never know!!

Vamos Rafa

Re: Result! Into AO R3 - who'd have thought it?! Vamos Rafa!

Last match of the day session. YAY to the AO organizers for being nice to Rafa and not making him play night session. I hope the ladies before him will hurry up but with Schiavone you never know, might be a loooong match, unless JuJu is in a ninja mode as she has been lately.
And Jankovic, huh, she has a liking for long matches (just like Rafa), no?
Anyway, VAMOS!!!!!!!

wooow this will be really late or early for me it's easier for me to follow him when he plays night sessions, but he doesn't like night sessions

I watched Simon last year in Bucharest on clay where he won against the local hero Hanescu in the final. This Simon is very talented player. He has a very solid flat two-handed backhand... His defence is also at a high level.

I even got an autograph from him...

Re: Aussie Open - R3 SIMON. Good Luck, Rafa

It's a tough match for sure. From his comments in the press it seems Simon really thinks he can take Rafa out.

Round 3 was a good result.

Re: Aussie Open - R3 SIMON. Good Luck, Rafa

I saw Simon play Baggy and Robredo also at the USO I think. He beat Baggy and gave Robredo quite a bit of trouble. So it won't be an easy match for sure. But I have penned Koubek as the guy who takes out Rafa so I am hoping Rafa survives this round

Hi Hema!

You should join us in the 'chat thread for Rafatards' - nice ranting about neverending WTA-matches over there.

Hey Karin

Thanks for the invitation.. I read that thread once in a while but I never posted there because I figured I would be out of place with all of you knowing each other well.Maybe I will venture there soon

Truer words may have never been spoken

Wow....looks like Rafa pulled it out.

Think we should all keep our fingers and toes crossed for the next round which looks like it could be a 4 or 5 setter.

VAMOS RAFA!!

Wow Rafa had me scared in that 1st Set He was down 2-5 and came back to win 7-5 After that it was over--Simon only won 5 games in the last two Sets Rafa wore him out in the 1st Set even when it seemed like Rafa was losing He does that to people a lot Vamos Rafa
