Re: Friday Order Of Play

Yes, Andy is very lucky. He only gets easy draws, and then has to get lucky to beat the people in his draw. Once in awhile, the scales even up a bit and Andy loses to a low ranked player which just goes to show how really lucky Andy is because without his luck he would be losing to that sort of player all the time.

Of course David who wins after playing only 5 games and then gets to play the winner of the last match of the day, is not lucky and only gets exactly what he deserves.

Go Gui and Andy and Nico and Tim!

Re: Friday Order Of Play

Star, David's malignant presence will succeed in Basel once more!

MWAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

David was lucky because Clement injured himself, but, Clement and Henman on Carpet is not at all an easy draw.
And, I am not complaining, you dont have to be defensive, I do not hate Roddick (even tough I dont like his game or coach), but, two unknown players are obviously an easier draw than two players who have won titles on that surface, Henman even won Basel twice.

Re: Friday Order Of Play

Well it's not Andy's fault that Elseneer beat Lee (a much higher-ranked player).... if he got lucky in that respect, there isn't a whole lot anyone can do about it lol. He just as easily could've gotten a second-round opponent who beat him this year. Robredo too, he was the 8th seed, just so happends Rochus beat him (though Andy probably would've preferred Tommy considering his record lol).

No, David wasn't lucky in the US Open, but he has been pretty lucky here in Basel so far.

Re: Friday Order Of Play

Getting Elseneer didn't seem that easy when Els had just beat Lee (a good decent player) 2 and 0.
