Re: Canadian players

Frank took the first set 7-6

as i said he had a little help from hasse who had double faulted on break point serving for the first set and then gave up a 4-1 lead in the tiebreak..credit goes to frank for fighting back in that tiebreak though.

hasse took the second set though

7-6, 4-6

Re: Canadian players

Way too many errors from Frankie. He should've won it.

Re: Canadian players

Did you watch the match? I'm not saying Haase shouldn't have won but with the chances Frank had he definitely could've won it. In the 3rd set after he levelled it 3-3 he played a terrible service game and gifted the break back, then in the next game he had more chances to break back but just made way too many errors. Frank did most of the dictating and then would make an error off an easy shot...

Misty is in love with Frank, she never makes any sense when talking about him.

Could that mean he will be in the AO qualifying draw as well? I think so.

Re: Canadian players

Philip is now first alternate for the AO qualies. I also think he'll go there is he doesn't qualify in auckland. One more withdrawal...

I dont believe even most tourists that visit New Zealand dont also stop by in Australia. He's definitely going - way too expensive a trip just to play Auckland.

Re: Canadian players

Ao qualies start...next wednesday right?

playing in both if he gets into the aukland main draw and the Ao would be tight

if i were him id make the choice to to to australia since there's a very good chance he'll be able to play the qualies...then again i suppose its best to have some match practice before trying to qualify for your first grand slam

that's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw that, He'll definately play AO qualies, I can't see in coming all the way over there just for Auckland qualies, and skip AO would make no sense whatsoever.

I'm not exactly sure what the rule on this is, but if I remember correctly(which I probably don't) you're not allowed to withdraw from a previous weeks tournament to go play qualies for a grand slam, so if he were to qualify for Auckland, for him to play AO qualies, he'd either have too...

a)Lose Auckland first round, or
b)Play Auckland, and AO qualies at the same time, flying back and forth

I don't really know how feasible that 2nd one is. but I'm sure if he were to make Auckland 2nd round he'd consider this a successful trip regardless, but lets not get ahead of ourselves, he has to qualify for Auckland first which is unlikely.
