Re: Filip Peliwo

Just scoreboard watching but very impressive by Filip. Jarkko was serving for the match at 5-4 but Filip won the next 5 games and counting now.

I was suspecting an injury of Jarkko and seems right as he retired at 1-3 in third set.

2nd Canadian into R2.

Re: Filip Peliwo

I think there's only two players younger than him in the rankings, and both are younger by only a few weeks. So he's coming along nicely this summer.

Playing Wimbledon qualies seems to have given him lots of confidence and motivation. He's really only a few good tournaments from being in qualies for Australia based on ranking. Go get that spot Filip.

Jarkko was *3-0 in set 2. Filip won I think 5 of 6 return games from that point(including when Jarkko served for it, and had a mp) before Jarkko retired

I drempt last night that Filip beat Jarkko after being a set and a break down when Jarkko retired down 20 in the 3rd. Close enough to my dream

I think so, he tweeted it was his first top 40 win, but I believe he tweeted a couple weeks ago that Bemelmans was his highest win so this would be the first top 100 win.

My old eyes and old brain forgot him. But yes Kyrgios is quite a talent.

Re: Filip Peliwo

Filip strikes me as a player in the mold of Lleyton Hewitt. His game and attitude is similar to that of Hewitt. Feisty baseliner with never say quit fighting attitude.

Filip Peliwo = the Canadian Lleyton Hewitt.
