Nice of them to give him a WC. Would he have recieved a SE if one had been available? I think so?

How did Peliwo score a WC at an AMERICAN event?

I think its cuz he would have gotten a SE, but Kraijeck and Mitchell already had them, so instead they gave him a WC.

Re: Filip Peliwo

With his Granby and the points from the Saskatoon Futures he's up to a new CH of 434.

Hope his appearance at Wimby qualies gives him lots of motivation to get back there ASAP through the summer season.

Filip Peliwo made it difficult on himself but came through 75 64.

Re: Filip Peliwo

Didn t watch the match but judging from the stats, Filip scored an impressive win over a solid top 160 player. Won three and three over Bemelmans, the 3 seed; returned his second serve very well and played the break points for and against a lot better than opponent

Re: Filip Peliwo

I watched the stream of his R1 match from about the time he nearly choked away the first set till he got his serve sorted out in the second. From his first serve % in R2 its still a bit inconsistent.

He's so animated on court with his yelling and fist pumping. He's like the anti-Milos.

Re: Filip Peliwo

Peliwo takes out the 8 seed, coming back from a set down. Into the semis of a Challenger - great result for young guy.

Re: Filip Peliwo

Did he get a SE to the Vancouver tournament MD because he made it to the semis? He was originally listed in Qualis there.

Re: Filip Peliwo

I watched a stream of most of the first set. It was 3-0 after 7 minutes.

Filip couldn't get a first serve in and started double faulting too. He sprayed errors everywhere, missed some volleys and a couple easy overhead put aways when he changed track track to try to get into the match. He started muttering to himself.

It wasn't a 6-0, 6-1 where you could say he was unlucky to get broken a couple times. Scoreline reflects how badly he played.

UGLY.
