Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

I haven't heard anything from PLD yet. He must be depressed he didn't make the cut for French Open qualies cut or Wimbledon. It seems like he's taken a break from tennis lately. Its been several weeks since he played anything.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

So Duclos loses to Richard Bloomfield (ranked 378) in Q2 Nottingham challenger.

His horrible slump continues. Duclos has won ONE main draw match since the start of 2012. He also hasn't qualified in a tournament he has played qualies in during 2012.

Good news for PLD - he won 3 matches in a row for the 1st time this year and qualified for Den Bosch.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

Bad News is he drew top seed David Ferrer in the opening round. Oh well, at least he plays on centre court and I can watch his match on tennistv.com

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

Wow, I hope he can play alright. Ferrer is really good, but this isn't clay so maybe one of the sets can be close?

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

Hopefully PLD can pull a "Davis Cup 1992 Daniel Nestor" over Ferrer and pull it out in 3 hard fought sets!

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

Looks like they don't play till Tuesday, so PLD gets a day's rest after his playing 8 tought sets in qualification. He's had match-play on the grass where Ferrer hasn't and PLD can be streaky, as we know. He'll likely just go for it, look to get to the net a lot and hopefully keep up serving aces. C'mon PLD!

Didn't see the match, but it looks like PLD put up a good fight, falling 46-46 to ferrer.

I watched. He put up a good fight. Had Ferrer pacing and talking to himself. The commentator was surprised he didn't go down so easily. He really does have a wonderful serve and made some brilliant points. 6 aces.

Re: Pierre Ludovic Duclos

he put up a good fight but this was one of those matches that had a nid feeling to it. David kept making him fight to hold serve even when he got 40-15 up and the break eventually came.
