Re: Erik Chvojka

thats it

6-3, 5-7, 6-4 bolgo

that was a great fight from erik . Granted that he was aided by a tiny little lapse in concentration and choke from dolgo in that 2nd set(and i refer to his double fault on set point in that). But he was so great on break points. His serve bailed him out time and time again but , really in the 3rd set dolgo raised his level and the result was NID when he did.

erik did get called on like 6 foot faults as well.

Re: Erik Chvojka

very proud of the way Erik played, nothing to be ashamed about, took a great player to 3 sets, and played very well under pressure

Very good, really showed some of the less supportive Canadian fans that he actually deserved the chance.

Re: Erik Chvojka

Was really impressed by Erik today, great fight from him. I was afraid it might be done quick after his poor start, but he kept pulling out big serves when he was under pressure. He just couldn't get into Dolgo's serve games often enough to really build up any pressure, it seemed to me. Regardless, he did a lot better than I thought he would.

Re: Erik Chvojka

so proud of erik, so many people where predicting a 6-1 6-1 match. I was abit worried after a slow start, and dolgopolov comming out on fire. I think erik played real well under the circumstances , 1st time on such a big stage and playing a player that gives u zero rhythim. But i do think erik has the potential to play much better its very encouraging. Quite amazing day, documented the whole with video from the moment we got there till the the match ill try and post the videos in the next few days

Re: Erik Chvojka

Erik is the 8 seed in Winston-Salme qualies, and plays PLD in round 1, only 2 canucks there and they get drawn against each other

winner gets likely McClune in round 2 and 3rd seed Mello in round 3. Good chance for Erik I think, decent shot at making the main draw

Re: Erik Chvojka

yeah, getting Mello as the other seed in his section was great, other options were Russell, Nishikori, or Benneteau, so he got the clay courter, who he really has a great shot at beating, the other 3 woulda been unlikely wins

Re: Erik Chvojka

The match is about to start; looks like a great chance for either guy to at least make the final round and get some points, and definitely a chance to qualify, good luck to both guys

Re: Erik Chvojka

Not a great start with 3 DFs in his first game! But they are back on serve now.

Re: Erik Chvojka

Solid comeback by Erik to take the first set. I fully expect him to take the second easily.
