Looks like Erik is taking the next 3 weeks off, unless he's playing Futures, so we'll see if he makes the RG qualy list.

Re: Erik Chvojka

Qualies list should come out today or tomorrow based on this week's rankings.

Erik is also on the qualies list for Prague Challenger tournament next week. The following week he is on the qualies list for Bordeaux, France challenger and then the next week is French Open qualies.

Those aren't the qualy lists, they are the alternates for the main draw list, anyone can sign up for qualies.

Re: Erik Chvojka

but if he's over in Europe until RG and he signed up for those challengers then he's probably planning on playing qualies if he doesn't get in the main draw directly

Re: Erik Chvojka

Alts to main draw for challengers are usually a good reflection of a player's schedule.

Sometimes, only if they signed up for just 1 tourney that week.

Re: Erik Chvojka

I think Erik can qualify for Wimbledon. His game is suitable for grass I think. He's got a good serve and forehanf. He volleys decent enough.

Re: Erik Chvojka

So Erik did play Prague and was seeded #2 in qualies but lost in the first round to Slovakia's Norbert Gombos. Erik needs to get back on track.

Re: Erik Chvojka

So Erik was seeded #1 at a 10k futures this week and lost in the first round. He has been in a slump lately.

Well he did lose to a decent player there, not a typical R1 matchup at a 10k.

Sieber isn't a decent player.

Re: Erik Chvojka

I don't think Erik is getting past the 1st round. He would be one of the weakest claycourters going into the French Open qualies. The smart money tells me he's going down in the first.

Well it depends on his draw, he most likely will not qualify, he has a clay win over a guy ranked just over 300, so he could pass at least R1.
