Re: Erik Chvojka

Pretty close to qualifying for an ATP event on his worst surface must be encouraging for him and give him some confidence.

Re: Erik Chvojka

Great News! Erik still gets into the main draw as lucky loser. He plays Stebe of Germany in the first round. I say he has 20/80 chance of winning.

Re: Erik Chvojka

Stebe is one of the weakest opponents he could have gotten. He hasn't done much at the ATP level, and is more of a hard courter I believe(Can't look it up atm)

I had the Q/LL beating Stebe in FITD, but even if he is the weakest possible opponent it's highly doubtful Erik will win.

I'm curious though if he knew he'd be the LL before the match started because that's a very lopsided scoreline.

Good luck against Stebe

stebe is definately more of a claycourter. he has only won 1 match on hard this season but last year he had some deep runs on clay court events that kind of first brought him to everyone's attention

Re: Erik Chvojka

What do you think his ranking will be with his performance at Bucharest? I mean, he did qualify into the main draw after all.

His ranking is 228 on Monday. He does not get points for qualifying, he gets R2 qualifying points. But he moves up 5 places from last time.

He doesn't get PTS because he did not qualify, he was a LL.

Re: Erik Chvojka

and this makes his case for French Open qualies a little bit tougher, but I think he should still get in.

Re: Erik Chvojka

Well, lets look on the bright side, he made it to the main draw of an atp event regardless he was a lucky loser or not.

Re: Erik Chvojka

I wonder what Erik's schedule looks like for the summer? I assume that he is going to stay in Europe for the summer for the French Open and Wimbledon qualies and then head back to North America after the grass court season.
