Re: Canadian Doubles

Adil lost in the straight sets today 7-6 7-6 6-4. Was a very close match.

Overall Adil has to be happy to get his first GS win this week!

Thanks. I would love to have the opportunity to go to Wimbledon some day.

Re: Canadian Doubles

Shamasdin won his first round doubles match in Newport (he's teaming with Brunstrom). They won 6-4 6-1 against Bachinger/Kohlmann

Re: Canadian Doubles

I can totally see Adil and Vasek becoming partners in Davis Cup once Nestor hangs em up. After Nestor, those two seem the most adept doubles player in this country.

Re: Canadian Doubles

Your boy PLD is pretty good at doubles as well, he could have a career as a doubles specialist if he doesn't make it in singles. A bit like Lukas Dlouhy.

Re: Canadian Doubles

Shamasdin won his doubles match today in Newport so he is in the finals! He will be playing for his second ATP tour title.

Against Ebden and Harrison so they have a good chance.

Nice article on Shamasdin and how he has achieved a lot without much support from Tennis Canada http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/spo...125046244.html

Adil is underrated, imo and should be on the Davis Cup team once Nestor retires, without question! also PLD too.
