Vasek won't win against Hewitt, but good luck anyway, like Gonzil said, it will be a great experience for him.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

What's all the negativity with regards to the Hewitt match? A former number 1 perhaps - also a guy who hasn't won a match since January. Its not 100% lost people!

Re: Vasek Pospisil

vs Hewitt is the kind of match that Vashy needs to win to further his career

I totally agree, it's another one of those inbetween matches, he could win, he could lose, but Hewitt has done nothing of note lately

Re: Vasek Pospisil

yeah, its true that lleyton has not won a match in a while but you also have to look at the draws he got in recent tournaments and you realize that they were pretty harsh. I think he would have been able to win some matches if he didnt get drawn against tsonga for example at wimbledon

i think he'll take a set but lleyton's just to good on grass for vasek

okay, i'll give you that one. But the draw at wimbledon was harsh, you have to admit that

we cant write lleyton off just because he hasnt had wins. Alot of people wroite montanes off and look what he did to milos

i'd say its 75-25 in lleyton's favor. I think this match will be alot like the nalbandian one. Vasek will take the opening set but lleyton will get a grip on vasek's game and take the next 2

Might be more accurate to say that Vasek obliterated himself, with a little help from Lleyton.

did you see the match? i didnt get a chance to, i went to the park with my little brother and came to check on how he was doing when we got back and saw this

needless to say this was a shocking performance and probably not a very good one to have before the olympics

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Yes, I saw the match, except when I gave up it was so bad (at which point he held serve for the one and only time, so maybe I shouldn't have watched at all).

He couldn't get a 1st serve in, and some of his DFs were not even close. If he got into a rally he was sending balls way long or into the net.

I would say that it looked like things started off badly and instead of looking for a way to get back on track he just lost belief he could do anything and completely lost his grip.

I would be interested to be a fly on the wall when Fred reviews this match with him.

likewise I figured they'd be about starting the second set or so when I went to take a look - shocking is the word for it
