I would think the same is true for tennis on bp's. That it would tend to your overall points won on serve % over time. But it'd be cool to find out
I'm not even sure how you would find that really though I have never seen the stat BP rate on 1st serve and BP rate on 2nd serve, which is what we would need I would think, unless over time, that would also normalize right to the players 1st serve percentage.

I think Vashy will pick it up in the second half of the season around the grass court season or Rogers Cup/North American hard court season and finish strong.

What do you mean? What is unclear?

I am assuming that Milos found it didn't suit his schedule and/or was terrified at meeting Verdasco on clay again, so he suggested Vasek as a substitute to fill his spot, which Vasek is happy about as frankly he is a bit short on match play recently, and the tournament is happy enough too as no one has ever heard of a Canadian tennis player, so one will surely do as well as the next.

So everyone is happy, except maybe Verdasco who was looking forward to crushing Milos like a grape.

I just wonderedy why milos may have withdrawn ..wondering if he picked up some sort of injury

but i guess it could just be that he dicided he didnt need it

seems weird to me that they'd fill the spot with vasek though

I don't think so - he has been training in Barcelona and comes to Paris tomorrow where he is booked to practise with Lopez. Maybe it is not a good idea to come too early because of the difficulty getting practice courts at RG.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Vashy's BP struggles continue. 0-4 on BP opportunities, 0-1 on BP saved. He made a gross error on the BP he faced. Too bad.

At least apart from that he's playing well. 7-5 Verdasco.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Much better 2nd set - 1 of 2 on BP opportunities, 2 of 2 BPs saved.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Verdasco d Pospisil, 7-5, 3-6, 10-4.

This should be good for Vashy's confidence, even though it won't mean anything of course to Verdasco. The commentators were impressed with him - good serve, good movement, good variety, good all-round skills. They saw him going significantly up in the rankings.

When you watch Pospisil you are constantly on the edge of your seat as you don't know if he is going to impress you with a winner or appall you with a wild error.

"Vashy's BP conversion watch"

Nando served much better in the match tie-break. Overall nice match from Vashy. The commentators seemed intrigued by his game. Good to get some court time, more than anything else.

P.S Wonder why he didn't answer in French. They would've loved it.

I didn't see that bit, but I imagine he would feel intimidated speaking French in front of a whole group of people.

BTW nice to see you back here, Shuhrat!

He should utilize every opportunity to speak French in France!

Thanks. It took some time to restore my love for Vashy.
