Vasek was on Breakfast Television in Vancouver yesterday!

You can watch it here: http://video.citytv.com/video/detail...asek-pospisil/

BTW: it even worked for me! So I was pleasantly surprised! LOL

Main draw is out for Sacramento challenger. Vasek (5th seed) faces Thiemo De Bakker in the first round. http://www.atpworldtour.com/posting/2011/3351/mds.pdf

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Tough draw, maybe Theimo is still not fit? Symczek is strong n R2 and then its Karlovic, Querrey and Blake. Tough tough draw.

Peter Polansky
Nestor - Chvojka - Pospisil - Raonic - Peliwo

Definitely a tough draw. De Bakker looked like crap at the US Open though.

132 + 52 + 16 = 200

so he'd need 200 points from 5 events assuming all 5 count and assuming the 104 spot has the same amount of points by years end as it does now.

he'd need...

192 counting 4 results
184 counting 3 results
177 counting 2 results

the last one because he has 7 points he can put into his countables to replace one of the 3 that comes out by years end if he only puts 2 more in
I knew I missed something, so the scratch smiley. Thank you for correcting me.

With Sacramento-type of draws, picking up 170-200 in 2-4 tournaments will be quite a big task.

Vashy seemed a bit surprised/embarrassed that the reporter returned his serve so well. Probably he thought his serve would blow away the reporter.

A tough draw indeed. To me, it's even more unfortunate that they have to meet in the first round, as I wish Thiemo to find his form as soon as possible.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Agree with everyone, a tough R1 draw, I was surprised to see De Bakker ranked quite so low, even though his form is pretty poor.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Missing a virtual SP 30-40 at 4-3*, in the TB, *1-2 / 1-4* / *3-4 / *3-5, from there winning 5 consecutive points to take the set.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Got a bit of help in taking that first set tiebreaker. Thiemo double faulted at 5-4 and then lost the next point in the blink of an eye

vasek dropped the match 7-6(7-5), 6-7(7-2), 2-6

tough first round, probably the hardest one he could have gotten after querrey anyway

it sucks he lost but im also glad to see thiemo fighting, it shows that he does actually care.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Vasek got a win when Kudla retired down a set and a break. Borvanov next, should be another win for him.
