Re: Vasek Pospisil

Whatever the final result, this is a great experience for Vasek, showing that he can compete with the top guys.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

match is now almost 2.5 hours long, fitness seems to be an issue for him(atleast thats what we saw at the davis cup tie) so we'll see what happens here

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Either way, he is well ahead of where Milos was last year at the US Open. Interesting that Fred has gotten even better results to Milos'

Peter Polansky
Nestor - Chvojka - Pospisil - Raonic - Peliwo

i dont know if we can say that really

yes milos lost to ball in his opener but he is better hard courter than lukas, lukas was not 100% fit and milos was not accustomed to playing long matches himself and the heat got to him

would vasek win if lukas was more adepot on hard and 100%?, dont know but i dont believe vasek is ahead of where milos was last year at this same time

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Laurendeau said that last year Milos was calm in qualies, but nervous in MD and Vasek has been the opposite way round.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Vasek saves 2 break points and holds to make it 4 all. Clutch play.

The fact that it is even a conversation says a lot about Vasek.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Terrific hold to get to 5-5, saving 3 MPs. He is not going to give Feli the match.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

7-5, 4-6, 6-7(3), 6-7(5)

It would have been great, if he had taken the 3rd set though, I have no doubt he gave everything he had. It was very promising performance.

You're getting there, keep your chin up!

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Great effort from Vasek

The key is to build on this, and keeping consistent at this level of play. If he can do that over the rest of the season, he can definitely establish himself on the big tour.
