Yes he should but he needs to convert a few more BPs and save a few more.

Well he only had to try and save 1 today, even though he didn't he still didn't give any chances except that.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Is anyone else excited about vashy possibly meeting janko in the semis with less than 2 months to go before the davis cup. I know this tournament is on hard courts but that potential match up may tell us a lot about our chances in belgrade

Also of note vasek needs to make it to the semi finals to defend the 90 points he won by winning the title at granby last year

Yeah sure, but they both have to win some matches 1st, which they have had some difficulty recently in winning a few in a row.

Yep, he's sadly back outside the top 100 again, cause he won R1 he's now -70 points.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Vasek out of Washington even though he's #2 alt (and probably could get in) ... playing Vancouver challenger instead ... good move IMO ... by this time next year hopefully his ranking should be high enough that he never plays challengers again ... so last time in his home tournament.

Yeah I like that decision as well, but I hope he does well. He has a real chance this week in Bogota.

Well last year he seemed to not really want to play CH's very much tried to qualify for more ATP events instead, maybe thought he was better than he was, or just didn't like playing CH's, seems his new coach has him playing CH's finally.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

if I were Vashy, I would try for Washington. He has good ATP form right now.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

He's in the middle of a busy time in his schedule, so going home for a week makes more sense than being on the road. Otherwise, strictly tennis playing wise, either tourney is perfectly fine. In Van he is an obvious contender, should straightforwardly reach the semis and get a decent haul of points while in D.C. he would play stiffer competition which is good for his game.

More like should straightforwardly win it pretty much, he can beat everyone at the event, has a win over the top seed Donskoy, he should be the favorite.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Watched the last set and honestly, not very impressed with Vashy. It was a serving contest and Duckworth had better ground game most of the 3rd set but Vashy had 2 great returns in the last game and broke Duckworth to win the mtach.

Vashy looks like the fave against Viola. I say he can pull out a win in 3 sets. Book him for an encounter with Tipsy.

If he goes 3 with Viola that would be poor IMO.

Viola is underrated on hardcourts, but I do agree, I think this should be easier than versus Duckworth today.
