The only time he was broken.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Vasek was 0-8 on breaks in 1st set ... in TB up 6-1 ... and goes on to lose 7 points in a row :-(

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Played the unimportant points really well today and was brutal on big ones (break points and tie-break points), as said. Still, he's only just getting his form back, so I don't think this result is very worrying at all. He did look good hitting the ball overall, I thought, until it did all go wrong in the tie-break.

Agreed. His was by far the better player overall. Still disappointing.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

I can't say enough about Vasek's performance so far against Italy. After going five sets on Friday against a top 20 player, he plays an extended fifth set in the doubles, serving impeccably in that fifth set. It's been a great display of fitness and mental toughness, reminiscent of his performance against Israel in 2011.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Second the sentiment. And he was slated to go against Fognini in a decider. I can see him taking this and making a real rankings run into the summer, into the top 75.

Re: Vasek Pospisil

Vasek continues good form from DC. Off to the semi's in Mexico Challenger. Canada's #3 beats Swiss #3. Still waiting for the day when Canada's #1 beat's Swiss #1 :-)

Re: Vasek Pospisil

He is into the semi-final and ranked 126. With a title this week, he would be ranked about 107.
