Third seed in Panama City, would love to see him live up to his seed and get a SF.

Peter will never get a better shot at a challenger final - Jesse Witten stands in his way

To add to the pressure, if he beats Witten, he will reach a career high.

I think with today's win, he already has reached a new career high of 163 in the world.

Polansky tweets tht he is in the final of singles and doubles at Panama City. Walkover in the SFs?

I saw that too, thought maybe it was a mistake, but it could be a W/O

Re: Peter Polansky

Website is now reporting that Witten pulled out with back problem from his match yesterday.

So Peter has still not won a SF match, but he has his first experience at a Challenger Final. He is taking advantage well here, despite what looks like shaky play.

Re: Peter Polansky

I'm torn, on one hand I'm happy Pete is in a Challenger final (despite a supposedly weak draw), because it will give him some confidence in the next tourneys. On the other hand, I wish he would have improved his tennis too. Confidence can only get him so far. His tennis hasn't exactly been that good lately (to put it mildly). What is he ranked now anyway? around 200 or 300?

They let him play tennis once after they saw his "consistency is everything" advertisement.

Career high 161. 145 if he wins.

Good to hear you've been keeping track.

I heard Milos was ranked around 120, but I haven't checked a a while either

Re: Peter Polansky

It would be great if he could win, but Dutra Silva is a exactly the kind of guy that's going to be populating the latter stages of these weaker challengers.

Good start, up 2-0 in the first set.
