Kelsey did win two matches in China actually. That was a few weeks ago.

Re: Canadian Players 2

David Volfson is now ranked #13 in the Tennis Europe U14 rankings, after being runner-up last week in a Category 1 U14 tournament, losing the final 5-7 in the 3rd set to the #1 ranked U14 boy (see write-up http://www.tenniseurope.org/news_item.aspx?id=49118). Good to see that Volfson continues to fare well in Europe (on clay).

Tabilo is also playing in Europe and took the doubles title last week in a category 2 tournament.

Not sure why they don't play the same tournaments. Maybe they figure Volfson needs stiffer competition than Tabilo.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Jecminek lost in the final round of Qualies but White destroyed his opponent to get in and I think he has a good shot at getting his first points.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Mo Niaki won his 2nd round match 6-2 5-7 6-1 over in Iran!

Good to see him getting some wins. Gets the #4 seed in the quarters.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Since Iran F1 is a 15K that means that he will get three points. He will be close to 1000 in a few weeks.

Re: Canadian Players 2

If anyone is interested, it looks like Kelsey's match is going to have livescores on bet365 (They are starting to have livescores of futures events, this is sweet!) Let's see if he can carry that confidence from a few weeks ago and get that fourth point.

Just wondering if anyone knew what happened to Klingemann? He changed nationality last year to Canadian, and just disappeard?

Re: Canadian Players 2

Kelsey won his first round match yesterday 6-3, 7-6 to get his fourth point. I don't see him beating the first seed but what an improvement from him. He couldn't win squat the last two years. This should put him in the top 1200 in two weeks. Mo Niaki lost in the Quarter and he will have five points which will put him at around 1100.

This might be a weird question, but where is our friend Sokk? It seems like a while since I have seen her post here?

According to the Nadal chat thread she isn't posting here for a while, not sure why, but they said she'd be back soon. Just like when Misty disappeared, I kinda miss her crazy posts.

Mo Niaki got direct entry into Iran F1 and is thru to the second round.
Kelsey is playing in Indonesia F2 where he Qualified for the Main Draw. Get another Qualifier in the first round.
Nicolai and Ahmed El Tabakh were in Italy F12. Ahmed lost in Qualies round 2 while Nicolai Qualified. He gets the fifth seed in the first round.
George Jecminek and Zach White are both in Mexico F5 and both have made the final round of Qualies.
Erik is the fourth seed in Poland F3 and should have a pretty good run here.
Antoine Richard (has this kid taken a week off this year?) lost in Q2 of Spain F18 but almost got his first point last week.

And in the Junior French Open we have Filip and Carol who have made the second round.

I think I pretty much covered everyone here, did I miss anything?
Frank lost in R1 to Kavcic.
Niaki lost in QFs to Vohk.
Stevenson lost in R2 to Verryth.
Haessig lost in R1 to Grassi.
White lost in R1 to Diaz-Barrigue.
Erik is in the QF in Poland.
