So how much longer till Peter is the 5th best ranked Canadian (or 6th if Erik keeps dominating the futures)?

Re: Canadian Players 2

Not looking really good for Peter these days. Hasn't really made inroads into to start this year and he will lose alot of points between now and the US Open. Really needs to get his act together.

I think he needs to play some futures to get his confidence back, but that's just me.

Canada has 16 players ranked and 8 in the top 500. Its been a while since this last happened.

Great stuff from Vasek. This will put him back in the top 300.

On a more depressing note, Obucina retired from his G5 match. Not injured again!!!

Re: Canadian Players 2

In doubles news, Polansky lost his first round doubles match, Adil lost his QF doubles in South Africa and Bester/Dancevic upset the number one doubles seeds in straight sets.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Poor Obucina, don't really know what is happening there. I am really surprised that Tabilo and Volfson aren't playing this G5. And I believe that Portnov will be the first player born in 1996 to have points in Junior for Canada. Brayden Schnur seems to be benefitting from playing down in Florida because he is looking pretty good this year.

Not sure if everyone else already knew this but Diez has the same coaching system that Raonic has. Blanco, Vicente..

Too bad Vasek couldn't win, but a solid week for him, hopefully he can keep it up
