On a more positive note, Chovjka is through to the semis, beating one kiwi and now faces another kiwi.

Baker lost 2 games in his 2 previous matches so it's not a bad loss for Vasek, he managed to get it to 2 tiebreaks

Well looks like Vasek went straight from Arkansas to Florida because he's playing tomorrow in Tallahassee qualies.

Canadians in the draw:
Duclos vs (wc)Celestine
(3)Pospisil vs Lukacs/Short
El Tabakh vs Obradovic

Chovjka won his SF, 3-6 7-5 7-5 - great effort. He is up against the #1 seed in the final.

Dancevic draws Blake in Tallahasse. Bester draws James Ward.

Re: Canadian Players 2

I was giving up on Pospisil when he was down a set and a break, but he pulled it out.

Good to see both top seeds - Peliwo and Abanda - prevail in the U18. On the girls side it seems like if you are good you win it when you are 14 or 15 and then stop playing, so the U18 title goes to the girl who will likely be the top junior in 2-3 years time.

where is Peliwo from? Vancouver or Toronto or something? I'm guessing Monette is from Quebec?

Re: Canadian Players 2

Vasek pulled through there in the end, because I had no clue who his opponent was. Abanda just turned 14 a few months ago. She will be huge in a few year. I mean she was playing G1's as a 13 year old.
