Maybe 4 or 5 if he wants to get more of a workout in.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Where is Vasek playing now? He didn't make the cut for Australian Open, right? Just wondering if he's planning on playing any futures or challengers in the upcoming weeks..

Peter and Frank

Not surprised that Phil lost, don't think he's quite cut out for this level yet.

Peter and Milos will be up today, Frank gets the day off, assuming the weather holds up.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Overvall good day for the Canucks. Peter and Frank win easily, while Milos gets on and off the court quickly with a retirement. I wasn't expecting much from Bester, so I'm not shocked with his loss. I just hope the other 3 can carry their first round form into the latter rounds of qualies

Re: Canadian Players 2

frank better not screw up this draw thats all i can say about him

as for peter the final i'd hoped for with him against kuznetsov wont happen..which sucks. But he without a doubt has the hardest road of the 3 remaining

i really have no worries for frank and milos. Conor niland can be tricky but he's honestly not someone milos should lose to.

I was kind of suprised that Peter won so easily today, I wasn't expecting him to have any trouble but a scoreline of 2, and 0 was kind of suprising, I hope it's a sign he's playing really well. I think he has a shot against Huta Galung if he plas like he probably did yesterday. I'm hoping for a Peter vs. Millman US Open final qualies round repeat

As for Milos, Niland has already lost, I don't see anyone in that draw really who can beat Milos anyday let alone when he's on his game, I would be absolutely dumbfounded if he didn't qualify.

Frank is 50/50 for me. Sure he got about as amazing draw as he could have, but that doesn't mean he's gonna cruise. Both Chiudinelli and Korolev can be tough opponents when they're on their game. But I haven't heard much from Korolev in a while and Chiudinelli's rank dropped a nice bit towards the end of last year, and he lost a set to Marko Djokovic last week, so it's safe to say he's not on his game. Frank couldn't have asked for a better draw but he still has to play well to convert the chance, I really hope he does, he needs it badly

yeah, i agree about frank..regardless of the draw you need to beat who's there and with him lately you just never know.

Im not all to concerned about korolev because he has been awful for a long time now. Of course, like frank the guy has been dealing with injuries aswell and we can see with frank and other players just how hard it can be to get into your groove again. Im not to worried about chiudinelli either but ive still got my fingers crossed here

i also want to say that peter's win really didnt suprise me that much.

Re: Canadian Players 2

Peter's win didn't surprise me either. Not sure why Cabal thought traveling to Australia was a good idea, but whatever its his money. Maybe this is a good omen. Last year's US Open qualies Peter crushed Santiago Gonzalez in the first round of qualifying in less than an hour. I remember watching that match and thinking "wow, Peter's really on his game". Hopefully this is going to be a repeat - he is a GS qualifying specialist

I don't want to predict anything because I'm afraid on jinxing them..

I do wish them good luck though

wel..i mean struggling to beat either gonzalez last year or cabal this year would just be unaccaeptable

i look to his match with sijsling to tell me where he's really at because no doubt he played well but, again its also not hard to look good against these guys.

he does seem to wake up for grand slam qualies though
